Join us for GWACC’s Young Professionals’ Alliance networking event on Tuesday, March 22nd at 16 Prospect in Westfield, NJ. This event is open to all Young Professionals between the ages of 21 – 39. You do not need to be a member of the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce. Networking will take place over some snacks and cash bar.

Healthy Habits + Longevity in Your Career

Our guest speaker will be Amanda Vargas. Amanda is a multi-disabled entrepreneur best known for her work in the health + wellness space. Amanda is the founder of Fettle + Fare, a fast casual restaurant that caters to those looking to live a healthier lifestyle. Fettle + Fare is 100% gluten and dairy free and specializes in Bone Broth and a menu serving up healthy comfort eats for those with food sensitivities.

Amanda was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2007, while already being legally blind from glaucoma from age eight. In her 2016 TEDx Talk, Amanda shares her story about how dietary changes help to manage her illness and allow her to come off all medications. She cut out inflammatory foods like gluten, dairy and processed sugars; all making a drastic improvement in how she felt. She knew there were others out there like her, and she wanted to make a difference in their lives.

Amanda opened Fettle + Fare in 2017 and has since served over 10,000 people. In 2022, Amanda was joined by her wife, Jillian, to launch FettleRx, which provides nutritional counseling, supplements and education for those ready to take the next step in their health journey.

Amanda will discuss how starting and maintaining just a few small healthy habits can prepare you to better handle stress and other health issues throughout your career, keeping you at the top of your game!
