Dr. Irene Rossmer is a surgical oncologist with Atlantic Medical Group. She is a specialist in the management of complex malignancies, particularly cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, skin, soft tissue and breast. She is also a skilled minimally invasive and robotic surgeon, and she brings the highest level of skill and expertise to her patients and their families.
Board-certified in both general surgery and complex general surgical oncology, Dr. Rossmer has received multiple awards and honors for her clinical work and research. She was selected by her peers and faculty to serve in her final year of training as the chief resident at Columbia University Medical Center and was awarded the Blakemore Award for an outstanding body of research performed during residency. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and her research has been presented at multiple regional and national meetings.
Dr. Rossmer received her medical degree from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, returned to Columbia University – her alma mater – for her internship, residency and a research fellowship, and went on to pursue a highly competitive fellowship in complex general surgical oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Rossmer is professionally active and maintains membership in the Society of Surgical Oncology, the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and the John Jones Surgical Society. Dr. Rossmer is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
Lauren Hammer, LCSW, MS, is the founder of Hammer Leadership, an executive coaching firm that promotes personal growth and professional excellence through coaching and leadership development programs. Lauren’s personable approach fosters meaningful connections and builds solid foundations of trust with her clients as they learn to lead with confidence, communicate effectively, increase productivity, and manage relationships.
Lauren earned her Master of Social Work and a Master of Science in Management degrees from New York University. Her post-graduate training in Bowen Family Systems Theory was at The Bowen Center for the Study of the Family in Washington D.C. and The Princeton Family Center for Education in Princeton, N.J. Her leadership coaching training was with Leadership Coaching Inc. in Rochester, N.Y., where she also taught their Advanced Leadership Course. Lauren has taught continuing education courses at Rutgers School of Social Work and the New Jersey Law Center.
Lauren resides in Westfield, New Jersey, with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time at the beach, practicing yoga, being outdoors, and participating in community activities, including her volunteer work revolving around homelessness and hunger.
